Cutting activities in industrial plants require an extremely high degree of safety. Ultra high-pressure water-jet cutting is therefore particularly suitable for cutting pipelines, tank openings, apparatus, reactors and large tanks in refineries.
Zone 0: Explosive atmosphere (gas) exists constantly or over the long term (> 100 h/year)
Examples:
- Inside the containers with flammable liquids, above the liquid level
- Inside pipelines, valves and plant parts, which are not constantly filled with flammable liquids.
Zone 1: Explosive gases exist under normal working conditions
Zone 2: Explosive gases only exist for a short time
