So that no sparks ignite

Use Water Abrasive Suspension (WAS) cutting technology for the repair of power plants

Use the WAS cutting technology for the maintenance of power plants. This process leaves the material structure of the cut component unchanged, as no heat develops during cutting.

Advantages of the Water Abrasive Suspension (WAS) cutting technology:

  • Efficient separation, even with particularly thick and reinforced materials
  • Safe procedure through the avoidance of heat input
  • Environmentally friendly working method due to separation of the water and abrasive material (cutting sand) in accordance with regulations

Realise separating tasks quickly with water jets

For power plants - regardless of which type and at what time they were first commissioned - it generally applies that downtimes should be kept as short as possible. For this reason, scheduled, as well as unscheduled repairs and changes to power plant parts should be performed quickly. This requires routine planning and compliance with specific security measures.

During the course of inspection measures, the Water Abrasive Suspension (WAS) cutting technology lends itself. The cutting nozzle can also be remote-controlled in narrow gaps. In this way, the WAS cutting technology reached cutting locations, which are difficult or impossible for other separating tools to access.

Welding lip gaskets can also be separated during the course of repairs with the Water Abrasive Suspension (WAS) cutting technology.

Abrasive substance additive for particularly large cutting depths

With the Water Abrasive Suspension (WAS) cutting process, a fine-grained, sharp-edged cutting materials, the so-called abrasive substance - also referred to as abrasive or cutting sand - added. This way, the water becomes the support element of the abrasive. The procedure works so effectively that even very large cutting depths in very hard materials are achieved. Separating activities on "sandwich materials", which e.g. have a linking on the inside, can be quickly and simply handled in one work step this way.

Rely on our Water Abrasive Suspension (WAS) cutting technology, in order to speed up work on sensitive components, such as high-pressure pipelines. In this way, you can complete maintenance measures very economically.

Use the Water Abrasive Suspension (WAS) process in heat-sensitive and explosive atmospheres

In areas, where attention must be paid to flammable sparks and heat development, the WAS cutting process is particularly appropriate. For example, we safely perform cutting activities on coal bunkers during running operation, as due to the cold cutting, coal dust explosions are safely avoided.
